Obituary of Amato Prudente

Amato Prudente passed away peacefully at Henley House in St. Catharines on Friday, December 29th, 2023 at the age of 98. Loving husband of Emelia Prudente; cherished father of, Alfonso (Teresa) Prudente and Mario (Christine) Prudente. Proud grandfather of, Allen, Sean, Daniel and Stephen and great-grandfather to, Emilia and Kennedy.

Amato was born in Italy, emigrated to Argentina and then to Canada. He could always be found in his happy place, “his garden” where he cultivated vegetables and of course, grapes for his wine.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to George Darte Funeral Home, 585 Carlton St., St. Catharines. A private funeral service will be held. If desired, please consider making memorial donations to Henley House or Hotel Dieu Shaver Hospital in memory of Amato.
