When Shirley welcomed us to the neighbourhood twenty years ago with open arms and homemade muffins, we knew we had hit the ‘neighbour’ jackpot.
We will miss the long conversations, her infectious laugh, the frequent taps at the door with homemade goodies or a bouquet of flowers from her beautiful gardens that she lovingly tended to and that brought her so much joy. Most of all, we will miss her kind heart and graceful ways. She was one of a kind.
Our heartfelt sympathies to Shirley’s family, extended family and all of those who lovingly cared for her over the past few years and in her final days.
