Charlie was my big brother. Although his obituary doesn't mention it, he was loved dearly by his mother, Germaine Letourneau Foley and his 2 sisters, Karen Lee Foley and Shirley Ann Foley, Wolff. He will be remembered always with fond memories of love and laughter and brotherly love. Love you Charlie and miss you dearly.

My "big" brother.
I was only 2 years old when Charlie and Joan married but he was always my big brother. My mother told us wonderful stories about the day my sister and I were born and how thrilled he was to have little sisters. He watched over us like a big brother does and when I was 4 years old, he and Joan welcomed their first little girl, Joanne, into their family. I enjoyed those years of watching their family grow into 5 little girls. He was a wonderful family man and I am so grateful for the many years we had together. I will miss you my handsome big brother but I know you are finally home with our family that has gone before us, where there is love and peace and lots of happiness.

Joan and girls, how sad we were to hear the news of Charlie. He was a great guy. I knew Charlie from the mill and some4 of the girls. We often talked qaboutfamily, clarly his priority in life and one we sghared. We also shared an interest in projects like renovations and rfepairs and I recall his projects on Farrand in T Bay. No one needs to tell his family what a special man he was but I want you to know that many others also recognized his specail qualities. Take care.

The last time I saw Charlie he was enjoying his family around the campfire at home in Port Robinson. He was wearing a plaid shirt and was so happy just listening to all the conversations going on around him. That is the way I will always remember him.

The Pouliots were my neighbours when I was little, I'm now 22 years old. I used to call Charlie, Papa Charlie, and every year on my birthday without fail I recieve a card from both Papa Charlie and Joan. I never took the time to say thank you, for a lot of years I couldn't find them. Now I wish I would have tried a little harder. So thank you Papa Charlie, for years of birthday cards, and my condolences to his family, you are in my thoughts. With all my love, Sarah

Dear Joan and family,my condolences on the loss of your dear husband Charlie.
I had the pleasure of working for and working with Charlie for many years @ Provincial Papers.
He was always a dedicated, conscientious, and a real human presence in the mill. I enjoyed working with Charlie though he had a serious side he also had a warm and understanding side that garnered him much respect and friendship.
May you find some peace, and comfort in the difficult days and weeks ahead, through your family, faith, and friends. And may warm memories of your time together soften your grief.
